- Hamilton Premium Angus Beef: From the Great Plains area of the upper Midwest of the United States, we are proud to bring you Hamilton Premium Angus Beef. A vast plateau of nutritional grasslands with low hills and flowing streams, the Great Plains is ideal for production of high-quality cattle.
- The Angus Breed: The Aberdeen-Angus breed of beef cattle was developed in the early 1800’s in Scotland. Recognized for the consistent quality of beef that the breed produced, the first Aberdeen-Angus cattle were imported to the United States in the 1870’s. Currently Angus is the number one recognized beef breed in America.
- Production: We partner with family ranchers in Iowa and South Dakota who follow grass grazing and corn feeding requirements to produce beef with consistent flavor and tenderness. Hamilton Premium cattle qualify as Natural, as defined by the USDA.
- Feeding & Harvesting: Hamilton Premium Angus cattle are fed for a minimum of 150 days on high-energy corn-based rations. (As opposed for 90-120 days for other cattle). Our longer feeding period ensures more marbling and great beef taste, and by harvested at 24 months (“A” maturity), we ensure consistent tenderness.
- USDA Grading: Hamilton Premium Angus Beef grades out at upper two-thirds USDA Choice, ensuring moderate amounts of marbling.
